Postpartum Stroller Workout

Featured: Double BOB Stroller
After I had our first baby it took me a few months to start working out again and even then, I wasn’t able to run. Running has always been a huge stress reliever for me and I started running my freshmen year of college. After Liv was born, I had bladder prolapse and running was extremely uncomfortable. I am a pretty open book when it comes to sharing things like this because I truly believe that it helps other moms to feel less alone if they too are experiencing the same. So I encourage you, if you are, to reach out to me if you’d like to talk about it 🙂
Anyways, luckily after I stopped breastfeeding (13 months later), it slowly improved and I was able to run again. Thankfully after our second was born, it didn’t happen again (I think it was because I pushed for 4.5 hours the first time). Working out becomes low on your list of priorities after having children. I make up quite a lot of excuses most days to try to weasel my way out of a workout, but truth is, it makes you feel SO much better afterwards. You will never regret a good workout. The adrenaline release is just what you need to feel put together again, I promise you.
If you can’t find the time to work out without your kids, grab a stroller and get going! I will also be implementing some workouts that you can do without a stroller as well! Stay tuned for those! For this workout we tested out the new double BOB stroller that was graciously sent to us. I have a single BOB and now a double and I have to tell you all a few things that I love about the double.
1. It’s even smoother than my single (but this may also be because it’s a newer model)
2.) The under seat storage is out of this world amazing.
3.) For being a heavy duty double stroller it actually takes up less space in my trunk than I would have thought
4.) It’s easy to fold up and easy to unfold for being so heavy duty
5.) I love the seat canopies. The extend enough to cover most of the kids (which is great if the sun is beating down or if your kids fall asleep 🙂
So, bottom line is, if you are looking into getting a double BOB stroller – it’s amazing and you should pull the trigger. I wasn’t paid to write this post and I wasn’t even given the stroller to write this post. I just love the stroller…. If you have any other stroller specific questions, feel free to write me an email so that I can answer any questions you may have!
I recently went to a pretty cool kickboxing class with a few friends and I will be signing up to do that 2-3 times a week and then going for a run on 1-2 other days. This is the workout that I love to do with the stroller. Granted, a lot of the time Olivia will join me and the workout will take longer but if they have fun with me, that’s double the success 😉
