This post is written in collaboration with ULTA. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that I truly love!
I recently played around with a few new spring lip colors and decided on a really great neutral hue and this BOLD dark blue red that really makes a statement (think date night or girls night). 90% of the time I am a very neutral makeup gal and steer clear of anything that looks too complicated or intricate but there is nothing better than a bold red lip! Each one of these looks was pulled together with a lipstick, lip gloss & lip pencil/crayon, but you definitely don’t need all three to finish the look. I personally loved all three of the neutrals together because they paired so nicely together. The red lipstick and lip gloss could definitely stand on it’s own without each other. The gloss is a really nice matte so it fills the lips out really nicely in my opinion!
LOOK #1: Neutral Every Day Lip
NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee | This butter gloss is AH-MAZING and the price is even better. It’s not sticky and looks gorgeous!
Becca Lipstick in Blush | This lipstick shade was MEANT to be paired with the lip gloss above. While the lip gloss can certainly be used alone, I love that the lipstick just makes the lips a bit more defined!
ULTA matte lip crayon in “Festival” | When I got this in the mail, I was so confused! The bottom of the crayon looks to be a totally different color than the lip crayon itself (so don’t be nervous)! It is very natural and gorgeous. It outlines the lip just perfectly. It’s also only $4!
LOOK #2: BOLD RED LIP
BECCA lipstick in cool vibrant red | I definitely prefer my red lip colors to be in the “cool red” family rather than the “warm red” family for whatever reason! This is a great stand alone red shade!
NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in vivid blue red | This stuff is POWERFUL. It does a really good job coloring in the entire lip (with red, that’s always tough) and it stays put.
ULTA lip crayon in deep blue red | this is the color I used to outline!
