My Skincare Routine

My skincare routine is on deck today! If you missed my day to day makeup routine from the other day, head here to check that out! I really like to keep things simple. I would love to be 100% chemical free with my skincare products and I am almost there – still a little work to do when it comes to finding the products that are chemical free and ALSO WORK πŸ˜‰ I totally understand that this is A LOT for a skincare routine (or some of you may think it’s not enough) but you can start small and eventually get there if that’s something you feel is important to you! πŸ™‚

My Skincare Routine

Lynzy & Co. - motherhood blogger talks about her current skincare routine

MORNING:

Cleanser | I randomly found this at Whole Foods when I was pregnant with my first. I wanted a cleanser that was gentle and chemical free. I have stuck with it ever since, smells DIVINE. I have head that the BC one is amazing as well but this one is a better price point and it was my first love – ha!

Vitamin C serum | This serum was sent to me by the brand and after doing a bit of research, it is one of the best out there. What does vitamin C serum do for your face? It fights free-radical damage and sun damage, improves pigmentation issues & is the key co-factor in the production of collagen!

Facial Oil | Honestly, I GET IT. This stuff is outrageously expensive. I would have NEVER bought it prior to entering my 30s but now I need to step up my game since I am turning 34 this week. HA! This oil has clinically proven results to reverse the signs of aging and has insane antioxidant benefits. You will see a reduction in fine lines, redness, and wrinkles. This is best for ALL skin types, even the most sensitive. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend.

THANK YOU to a few of you telling me that THIS MARULA OIL is the SAME THING and WAY less expensive!

Daytime Moisturizer | The one I am currently using was sent to me as a gift and I ran out of my Beautycounter lotion so I have been using it!

Tanning Drops | I use two drops of this with my daytime moisturizer every 2-3 days and it keeps a subtle glow on my face – I LOVE IT! It sells out all the time but it’s currently in stock! I have the medium shade but honestly should have gone with light!

NIGHT TIME:

Eye Makeup Remover | Takes off eye makeup in a jiffy and it’s very gentle on the skin!

Cleansing Balm | One of my favorite products that Beautycounter sells, this cleansing balm has SO many different uses. It acts as a great daily cleanser, makeup remover, and an amazing overnight mask. Every single person that has used this balm, swears by it. HIGHLY recommend it! Read up on it’s many uses here!

—> I get that the cleansing balm is EXPENSIVE. My alternative for that is the Tula cleanser, it smells divine and doesn’t strip your face of it’s hydration! Love it!

Eye Cream | Totally forgot to include my eye cream in my stories! This is the one I currently use and I have been loving it. I think it’s made a huge difference in the skin surrounding my eyes and brightening up my dark circles.

Anti – Aging Serum | This was sent to me by Colleen’s team and I have been using it nightly. I get it, it’s super expensive so it’s definitely something I would get LAST – it’s not 100% necessary IMO.

Night Time Moisturizer | This is VERY hydrating and I love using it as my night time cream!

Use Occasionally:

Tula Mask | I notice an improvement in skin tone and texture after using this! I use it once a week!

Charcoal Mask | Awesome mask for those with more oily skin and wanting to clear up acne/blackheads!

One thing I have been wanting to add is a toner after my cleanser in the morning and night. Apparently it’s something that is highly recommended but I just cringe at adding another product! Ha! I just caved and bought these toner pads from Beautycounter a few days ago!

I know this is totally overwhelming – trust me I get it! I was only using a cleanser and lotion about 2 years ago! As I age, I understand the importance of taking care of my skin (especially my face) which is why I have gradually implemented this skincare routine! Here is what I would start off with as most important:

First, I would make sure you have an awesome cleanser and lotion.

Next on my list would 100% be the marula oil, it will change your skincare game.

After that, would be eye cream and then vitamin C serum!

Finally, the masks and the anti-aging serum!

  1. I really want to try the Tula Cleanser! I try to buy things that are chemical free and good for my skin. Tha k you for all of the suggestions! Ill be giving probably every product a try!

  2. I’m bummed because I finally figured out that I am sensitive to Aloe (Of all the things to have a reaction to!) and most of the beauty counter stuff has an Aloe leaf juice in it. I also tend toward Dry, tight skin. Do you really like your tula products? I have looked at their ingredient lists online and nothing seems to have aloe in it.

  3. Thank you for putting this together! I especially love that you helped prioritize what you recommend. I’m allergic to sunflower which is common in all the Beauty COunter and Tulla products, so if you encounter an eye cream or cleanser that does not have this, I’d love to know about it!
