Last Minute Easter Basket Ideas for Kids

This post is sponsored by Stop & Shop. As always, thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I only work with brands that I truly love and I hope you love them as much as I do!

If you’re like me, you are always last minute for everything so this post on last minute Easter basket ideas for kids will be a total relief for those of you that have yet to scoop something up! Ever since I was little I always did grocery shopping at Stop & Shop. Well, I should say my mother did and then when I moved out, I continued to do the same. I don’t know what it is about a grocery store, but I feel at home when I’m there and wouldn’t be able to shop continuously anywhere else! ! They always offer great prices and their organic section is becoming bigger and better than ever before and I LOVE that about Stop & Shop!

Last Minute Easter Basket Ideas for Kids

I ran out to our local Stop & Shop this past weekend to grab Easter baskets and items to go inside for the girls. There were so many options with a great assortment for all ages – from giftcards to board games and I wanted to share what I found! My favorite find of all though was definitely this Pre-K Jumbo workbook for Liv. It’s jam packed with activities for her and she is going to absolutely love this. I also love being able to teach her new things and this book has so many great ideas for learning. I highly suggest picking one up if you are at Stop & Shop. This particular workbook is for ages 3-4, but they have all different ages!

Liv’s Easter Basket

1.) Pre-K Jumbo Workbook as mentioned above!

2.) Candy Land // The best game of all time and I completely forgot about it until I saw it at Stop & Shop! It was only $4.99 and I scooped it up so that Liv could play it with us!

3.) The Whispering Rabbit // A Little Golden Book 🙂 They had a great selection of Easter themed books there!

4.) Assorted healthy snacks including Press by Kind bars, Stop & Shop gala apples, Nature’s Promise fruit pouches, & more!

5.) Some goodies including a chocolate bunny and jelly beans that are hidden within the eggs!

Ellie’s Easter Basket

1.) Farm Stick Activity Book // They had quite a few versions of these and this one was my favorite!

2.) A big plush rabbit, how cute is he?!?

3.) A bunny sippy cup

4.) Assorted healthy snacks including Press by Kind bars, Stop & Shop gala apples, Nature’s Promise fruit pouches, & more!

5.) Some goodies including a chocolate bunny and stickers that are hidden within the eggs! I didn’t want Ellie having jelly beans since they are a choking hazard so I cut up Easter stickers to put inside her eggs!

6.) Bubble Wand

7.) and…. another toy ambulance 🙂 like her sister

While I was there I was able to also pick up the ingredients for the Blueberry Streusel Cake I am making for Easter Brunch! I picked up Stop & Shop’s brand of flour, sugar, baking soda & frozen blueberries! Saves so much money too! I love that I was able to pick up everything within one place because as a mom of (almost) three, I don’t have time to be running from store to store to find everything I need!

  1. Thanks for reminding me that I need to grab a few chocolate bunnies to complete Easter Baskets for my grandkids. The baskets you created are adorable and look like so much fun.

  2. I’m like you – last minute Easter shopper. I also love the idea of putting books in an Easter basket – I do try to limit the candy!

  3. These are great last minute Easter Basket ideas for kids! Since this year my birthday is the day after Easter (it’s crazy how late Easter is this year), we aren’t doing Easter Baskets this year.

  4. I try to limit sweet treats when putting together an Easter Basket. I’d rather fill my grandchildren’s baskets with fruit, books, small educational toys, crackers, etc. I would put in two or three small pieces of candy or sweet treats too, so they won’t feel left out. I love those books you chose!

  5. I like your ideas. The items you’ve included in your Easter basket will be enjoyed by kids long after Easter is over. The story books, and activity books are guaranteed to give kids a fun time, better than any candy can provide.

  6. Your baskets turned out very nice. I love that you included books and lots of healthy snacks. However, every basket does need a chocolate bunny and I am so glad to see you have one tucked in your basket.

  7. Those are some wonderful baskets. Was just at Stop & Shop looking myself. I love that store and you’re right that the organic section gets better all the time!
