Farmhouse Kitchen Inspiration

This selling and buying a house situation is seriously one of the hardest things we have ever had to go through. Last minute (2.5 weeks before closing), our buyer decided that she needed a ONE MONTH extension. For those that understand this process, you know how much this sucks. We had to then investigate whether or not the sellers of the house we are buying would be willing to extend another month (and it trickles all the way down the line to the next sellers and buyers). We finally just agreed to a different date, now set for August 14th. I pray that this date works, because if it doesn’t – we have to stay put until this baby is here!

In the meantime, I keep dreaming about recreating all the different spaces in our new home. The room that will get the biggest renovations is the kitchen and I am going for a farmhouse feel (with a bit of a a rustic beach theme as well). I collect my inspiration via Pinterest and cannot wait to actually get started!

We actually had our farmhouse table built by Lauren (from Lauren Mcbride blog) and her husband. They are incredibly talented and I knew that it would be perfect in our space. I definitely want to have a mixture of chairs throughout my kitchen table and I finally decided on both of these (one & two). I also came across these amazing vintage items that would look so adorable on the kitchen counter. I have been searching for the perfect tea and coffee canisters and these fit my vision completely.

  1. Beautiful sunporch. Job well done and you will find that doing it yourself is such satisfaction. My husband and I bought houses and did all the work to them. We no longer do it because of our age. You can be proud.
