My third pregnancy was probably the unhealthiest one of my three. After he was born, I vowed to get myself back into the best shape of my life. To be a mother of three kids and be able to do 100 push ups, run 5 miles and lift all the heavy things – that is my CURRENT goal. For no reason other than I would love to get into the best shape of my life for my three babies. I want them to know health is important, that you can be a girl and you can be STRONG, and that just because I have three kids – doesn’t mean I can’t find the time to workout. I may not get in my workouts daily, some weeks it might be 5 times, while others will be 2. That is OKAY. I am giving myself grace and focusing on getting strong whenever I can.
Many of you have asked about what prenatal vitamin I took while I was pregnant and coincidentally, New Chapter reached out to me last month and asked if I might want to collaborate. I was ecstatic. These are the partnerships I live for. The ones that are the perfect fit for myself, my brand and my lifestyle. I took the Perfect Prenatal Vitamin by New Chapter while nursing/during pregnancy and just recently switched over to the Every Woman One Daily Vitamin. Why did I chose this one over all the other ones on the market? These vitamins are made with fermented vitamins and minerals that make them easily digestible. You can even take them on an empty stomach! They use a 2 step fermentation process with beneficial probiotics and whole foods to activate each vitamin, mineral and herb, making them more vital, available and absorbable.
I love that they have a scientific approach to their formulas. They combine different herbs and whole foods to make the vitamins more powerful than they would be on their own. All that to say, I really love these vitamins and they remain one of the most important parts of my morning routine. I highly recommend the Perfect Prenatal Vitamin if you are trying to or are pregnant. If you have trouble swallowing pills while pregnant, I suggest sneaking it into a spoon of yogurt or applesauce. That helped me tremendously during the first trimester.
So far we have exercise, multivitamins and now the last important part of my new health routine: water. Believe it or not, I am the WORST when it comes to staying hydrated. Even while nursing, I had the hardest time making sure that I was drinking enough. I am a huge seltzer fan but have a hard time with plain ole water. November is the month where I am changing that. I have daily goals of how much water I need to drink and I cannot wait to see what a difference this makes in my skin and my mental/physical body.
Bottom line is, you can BE heathier. No matter how crazy your life right now seems! Every morning for us looks like this and its complete chaos, but making sure I stay healthy, take my vitamins, exercise, drink plenty of water, etc. makes me feel like super mom 😉
