How to Style a Buffet Table

We recently scooped up this amazing buffet table at Home Goods and I love that it gives us more storage in our Kitchen/Dining Room space. It’s perfect for when we entertain as well, since we will be able to use it for additional “counter top space”. But, how do you style a buffet table when it’s not being used for a gathering? Here’s how I did it!

How to Style a Buffet Table

1.) Anchor it on both sides.

I chose these amazing lamps (at $40 each) to help give some height on either side of the table. I also love the soft light it gives us at night time!

2.) Add a centered piece of wall art.

This can be anything! It doesn’t have to be a picture. I just love that the centered piece seems to connect everything together and it adds significant height to the center of the table. I love our little space cows (thank you Minted!) and we used a tutorial on how to hang it from the ceiling over on Love Grows Wild.

3. Add a runner

I chose to add   TWO layered runners on ours. The first one is a ruffled linen runner via Home Goods and the second one is a lace runner (link at the end of the post) for super cheap! It adds dimension to the table and I love the different textures!

4. Add different decor at different heights throughout the rest of the table.

I have one jar stuck in a few rolling pins on one side and added a few white vases (FYI, IKEA has some awesome ones!). The middle tiered tray is from The Painted Fox (I want to buy their entire store!) and I added a few greens from Michaels on there along with some cotton stems!
