I’ve never been very involved with my own skin care. Mostly, because I would rather be doing anything else 😉 However, as I age, I have realized how important it really is to take care of the largest organ in my body. I wanted to go over a few interesting facts about our skin and skin care and also tell you a little bit about the company that is sponsoring today’s content, Our Skin Cares. Our Skin Cares created an anti-aging serum that combines the power of 12 different skin nourishing products into one. Keeping your skin healthy as you age.
The best part about this product is that for every product sold, it feeds two children in need for one month. This is an alarming fact that everyone should know about,
“Every year, nearly half of deaths in children under five are caused by poor nutrition – That is approximately
3.1 million children dying every year from poor nutrition”.
That is so incredibly heartbreaking to me. No child should have to starve and we need to help in any way that we can. I love the mission behind this product. It would also be a great product for the holiday season. You can wrap it up and let them know that their gift also helped nourish two children in need as well.
You can use code: lynzyandco for 20% off your bottle of anti-aging serum!
Our Skin Cares goal is to reduce this statistic by 1 million children before the end of 2020. Let’s help aid in that however we can!
Skin Care Tips
1.) Drink Water // Keeping hydrated will give your skin a dewy look and overall improve the complexity of your skin. It’s also great for those that suffer from dark circles under their eyes. I always notice a significant difference when I am hydrated!
2.) Honey // Take a bath and use honey on your face to exfoliate. It also helps to maintain moisture! You can also add a few cups of milk to your bath. The lactic acid inside the milk will help to soften skin.
3.) Avoid Sugar // High amounts of sugar can cause inflammation and in turn, lead to breakouts. Plus, it’s healthier to stay away from it anyways 😉
4.) Stay away from the sun // If you must be in the sun, make sure you invest in a good sunscreen that will protect you from the sun’s harmful rays!
5.) Sleep // Make sure you get enough sleep each night. This allows your cells to repair from your long day.
6.) Make sure to use a daily moisturizer, preferably with retinol. This will be the best thing to fight wrinkles and aging skin.
7.) Sweat // Working out is not only great for cardiovascular health, it’s also great for your skin! It helps to clear the body of toxins and and removes dead skin cells so new ones can grow.
8.) Use a dry brush // Use one once a week to help give your body that extra exfoliation. You’ll notice that your skin is brighter and more soft as well!
