I’m sharing #Aveeno®advocates in my life as a sponsored series for Socialstars™
It can be difficult enough to take care of yourself during the rest of the year when you’re a mama, never mind the holiday season! It’s been tough but I always try to fit in a few things that make me feel like a human again. I’ve mentioned this before but I will say it again, taking care of yourself will make you a better mother and give you more patience and tolerance in the long run. You NEED to make time for YOU so that you can always be giving to the others that need you the most. I wanted to create a little post on some of the things I have recently done to take care of myself recently!
The other day while my mother-in-law was here she told me to go get outside of the house and do something for ME. It took me a few minutes and I almost didn’t even want to go thinking about all the laundry that needed to be folded or the dishes that needed to be done. But, thanks to her, I made it out of the house and down to get a pedicure. I still had polish on my toes from LAST JULY. We are talking like 6-7 months ago. I didn’t even take the time to take the polish off, slightly embarrassing, but hey! who even takes care of their toes in the winter?! 😉
I also recently received this new Aveeno® Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial and Aveeno® Positively Radiant 60 second in-shower facial and let me tell you something. It has been amazing for my skin! It’s glowing and looking healthier than it has in years! The in-shower facial is pretty darn cool. You just apply, wait 60 seconds and then rinse! The facial formula is enriched with the goodness of moisture-rich soy and lemon peel extract, it works with the steam of the shower to gently exfoliate impurities in just 1 minute! The overnight formula works through the night to deeply nourish skin with the goodness of clinically proven ACTIVE NATURALS® Soy and 48 hour hydration, so you wake up to soft, smooth, supple skin. Both pretty amazing and have left me feeling like a million bucks after some rough nights being up with Ellie teething!
A few weeks back I started looking for another sitter to come at least 6-8 hours a week so that I could create office hours for the blog. It’s been very difficult finding time within my day to schedule it and this has saved my sanity. I have her come about 2 days a week and I typically leave ad go to a coffee shop where I can get my favorite drink and a bite to eat while I work. It’s been great for my mental health and I’ve also been able to get A LOT more done. I consider this self-care because I am able to have alone time outside of the house and it’s been amazing!
I would love to know what you do for self-care?! Tell me about it in the comments!
