Nursing Friendly Style for Busy Moms

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Thank you so much for your support of this blog and the brand’s that we truly love!

I am constantly trying out new ways to casually nurse in public (and at home) in style and put together a few some nursing friendly outfits for you today! As many of you know from hanging out with me in my Instagram stories ;), I love sharing nursing friendly finds all the time! I am beyond honored to be teaming up with Nordstrom today to put together a few looks that would work while breastfeeding! Nordstrom has been my go-to for everything style related because they have such a huge selection of all price points. I have loved finding maternity and nursing friendly looks from there and you guys have loved the try on sessions too! In the next few weeks, I will be heading there for another try on session – this time nursing friendly! Stay tuned!

Nursing Friendly Style for Busy Moms

This first outfit is very basic and easy to throw on in the morning. If I have to nurse while I am out, I simply pull up the slouchy tee and wrap the scarf around my mid section! You could alternatively wear a naked tank underneath the tee and use the scarf for an additional way to cover up! Do whatever makes YOU feel comfortable while breastfeeding! Whether that means no cover, mild cover, or moderate cover! Anything goes! πŸ˜‰

Outfit 1:

Black Loafer Mule // Perfect basic mule to wear on an every day basis! They are VERY comfortable and they fit true to size! They also stay PUT while walking which can be hard to find with mules!

Striped Tee // For only $19, this is one of those classic tees that everyone needs to have in their wardrobe, so versatile and comfy!

Leopard Print Scarf // Love adding a little leopard print with stripes!

Denim // My exact pair shown above has sold out, but this pair is VERY similar! This brand fits slightly larger so if you are in between sizes, I would size down!

This second outfit features my FAVORITE leggings of all time for the post part period. They are high-waisted and tend to keep things tight in there! These images show a bit of my belly and I am proud of that belly so I kept these images as is πŸ˜‰ If you are currently pregnant, these are the same leggings but not high waisted and these are what I wore throughout all of my pregnancies! The best, basic pair of black leggings!

Leggings (sizing)

Best for Post partum // These ones are high waisted and perfect for that post part belly! I would get your normal size in these! I am typically a small and bought a small!

Best for Maternity // These are lower in the waist and perfect for those with a bump! The band is NOT restricting! For sizing, I would size up one if pregnant!

Outfit 2:

Off the Shoulder Tee // This is a very light tee and I love the off the shoulder detail! For this tee, I would layer a naked tank underneath or use the scarf to cover the midsection while nursing if you wanted cover!

Oversized cardigan (sold out, here are similar!)  Very affordable one here too!

Plaid Scarf // I love layering scarves in the fall and winter because it’s a built in nursing cover! I hate the covers that go over your head and the scarves seem to be more breathable too! This one is very breathable!

Zella Leggings

Sneakers // Hands down my favorite sneakers for the fall season! Very comfy and fit true to size!

Outfit #2 is adorable (well, they both are.) I could definitely see my daughter rocking it. She is now nursing her fourth and final child right now. This outfit would be a great Good Job Mom gift for her.

This may be a really silly question but as a new mom just starting to nurse, do you just pull your bra UP when you use the boob shirts? I’m trying to figure out how that works exactly! Hoping to get into normal clothes again soon and feel like myself again – great post.

All of these outfits are simply adorable. They did not have cute nursing tops like that when I was nursing my first child.
