Motherhood: What it Means to me

Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamt about being a mother. Growing up as an only child allowed me to grow in imaginative play and I would pretend that I was taking care of my “family”. I always said that when I had children, if I was blessed to have them, I would have a whole football team of them. The shouting, fighting, and craziness, I yearn for it. There are days when I think I have completely lost my mind, but for the most part, this life is what dreams are made of. When I am 80 years old and looking back through photo albums, I will dream of these days. The days of chocolate milk on the walls, all the kids screaming at once, and the dog jumping up and eating all our food. The craziness is what makes life so darn beautiful, don’t you agree?

My children help to make me appreciate all the little things in the life. The stuff that by the time we are in our 30s, we have forgotten about. Olivia said to me the other day “OH MY GOSH MOMMY. Look at all the stars!” I looked up and it truly was a beautiful sight. An endless universe that allows us to be whoever we want and do whatever we want. It allows us to make decisions every day that impact those around us and I hope that my daughters grow up giving to others and spreading kindness as far as it will reach.

I teamed up with Jared today to share a few images photographed by Victoria Gloria that mean so much more to me than anyone will ever know. There is no such thing as “too many photographs” with your children. Get in front of the camera with them and make these memories. They are ones that you will want to pull out years from now when your kids have their children. They will put a smile on your face, even in the darkest of days. When I was given the opportunity to chose a piece from Jared for this holiday season, I went with this Miracle Links Necklace because it represents the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child. An unbreakable bond is the perfect way to describe a mother & her child. The larger circle represents the mother, while the smaller circles represent each child. You can add circles as you grow your family! I still need to add one more circle to represent our newest addition 🙂  Jared has so many options for the loved one in your life and there are so many different price points. If you are looking for something special this holiday season, be sure to check them out. If you want to purchase additional Miracle links for your necklace, you can go here!

Now go hug your babies and take lots & lots & lots of pictures with them.

& treasure them forever

It is wonderful how children make you stop look, see and smell stuff we would normally just past by. Your children are adorable and the necklace is simple yet elegant and perfect.

Beautiful pictures and words! I agree that motherhood is so amazing, and can be overwhelming with emotions. What we feel for our children is so big there is almost no words to describe it, but you managed to explain it wonderfully!
