I am still dreaming about our family vacation to Charleston at the end of August and I am already looking forward to when we can return. Charleston is such a beautiful city and it’s the perfect place to visit if you have children. I wanted to create a post about the hotel that we stayed at because it was so family friendly and it’s hard to find that in a hotel! I will state that the Kings Courtyard Inn was nice enough to give us two of our four nights for free but I would pay for all four nights again if we ever go back, that’s how much we loved it there.

Our suite was HUGE. We had a large bedroom with small balcony and our own bathroom. There was a little hallway that connected to another large bedroom with bathroom. We have Ellie sleep in the small hallways in a pack n’ play and Olivia stayed in the other bedroom. We could easily hear the both of them when they awoke from our bedroom (without a monitor).
My favorite part about the hotel was that the continental breakfast was included! You could order your breakfast on a door hanger the night before and chose the time that it was delivered in the morning. Often times, we would write our breakfast menu on there to be delivered at 8 am and then head out for the day! It made getting reading in the morning easier since we could eat in our room while getting everyone ready for the day.
This historic (circa 1853) inn really has everything to make you feel right at home, from the gorgeous floor length windows to the beautiful decor. They also had wine and cheese available to guests every evening in the lobby which was such a nice touch. The location was perfect for everything that we wanted to do. The only thing we needed a car for was 1-2 of the restaurants and the beach, otherwise, everything is within walking distance!
Oh, and you cannot forget the complimentary wireless internet! This is how I was able to get some work done while we were there! 🙂
