Cat lady (definition): Owner of multiple cats
I am proud to be one of them and I am here today to try and reverse this bad rap that this little rascals get.
My two little grey haired babies were adopted a few years back (Tweezers is 6 and Dante is 4) and I have had them since they were 8 weeks old. We rescued them from shelters and I am so happy to have them in our home. DD (as we call him) is the little guy who likes to cuddle 24/7. He is a whopping 16 pounds (!!) and seriously the cutest cat ever (sorry Tweezers!) We almost last him last year when he had to have emergency surgery for a kidney stone that sent him into renal failure. Thankfully, we acted quickly and he is still here with us today (just on a special diet). Tweezers is much more of a feral cat. He loves to hunt mice and occasionally he finds them in the garage and this is how he earns his keep 😉 He is also very cuddly but only when I am pregnant! He loves to talk, all day and all night.
There are so many animals that end up in shelters and never get a second chance. In fact, million of cats enter shelters each year and less than half ever get adopted. Which is so heart breaking to me.
I am pretty stoked to be collaborating with Fresh Step Litter today to tell you about their #hot2adopt campaign! They designed this Hot to Adopt t-shirt to help spread awareness about cat adoption. A proceed of every tee ($7.50) will help benefit cat shelter’s around the country.
Now on to the contest details….
