Hey MOM! Get in the Picture!

I’m proud to be partnering with CVS Pharmacy to help spread the word about their photo services. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

I always hear mothers wishing that they were in pictures with their children more often. Their smart devices are full of images of their children and their children with their significant other but hardly any photos of them with their mama! having a blog has always helped me to get in the camera way more often than I ever thought I would and I honestly LOVE that about blogging. I have built so many memories and I’ve been able to capture them and keep them in folders on our hard drive. These are memories that I go through every so often and smile, thinking back to the exact moment that they were taken. It’s SO important to get in front of that camera with your kids. Do it and do it OFTEN. They grow so fast and you will want to capture each phase that they go through.

One aspect I think some women struggle with is appearance. They worry that they will need to lose that extra baby weight or tone their arms, but mamas, I am here to tell you….STOP WAITING. The time is now and it’s flying by right before your eyes. Getting in front of that camera and capturing these beautiful moments is something that you will never forget. In fact, your children will never look back on those pictures and say, “I wish my mama waited to lose the extra baby weight!” Instead, they will smile seeing the joy and beauty that was created into a still image on that day.

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
Karl Lagerfeld

So do me a favor this Mother’s Day. GET IN THE PHOTOS. Take as many as possible and make sure you print them and store them, frame them, treasure them. Create a memory book of sorts and include them all. Create these memories for your children to look back upon and see how incredibly amazing you are and how much joy you brought to them each and every day.

These are the reasons why you need to get into that photograph with your kids, mama!

These images were printed out using CVS Photo. CVS Photo offers a wide variety of photo products including Photo Prints, Photobooks, and even wall/home decor! Their website offers a way that you can easily order anything you would like and have it ready for pickup at your nearest store. If you don’t want to pick them up, you can also easily have them shipped right to you at home! There is also a CVS Pharmacy app that allows  you to upload photos directly from your camera roll, IG, or Facebook account so that you can have them printed in store! I am actually quite impressed with the quality and affordability of the photographs that I picked up today! I plan to create a book for the girls and put it into their memory box 🙂

These are the reasons why you need to get into that photograph with your kids, mama!

My mom always says that she wishes her and I had more pictures together. I remember one thing she told me when I got married and her and I were taking pictures, she wishes she lost more weight, and etc etc. So to prove her wrong I had a canvas print of her and I made up and she loves it. I love your post, the pictures I have with my mom I treasure, she’s my best friend and I always remember the memories that I have with my mom from that moment. Thank you for the reminder to get in front of the camera more ♥

I look back at some of my photos as a child and my mom is not in a lot of them. I think because we are in the social media/selfie generation we are taking more photos than ever. Great post and I cant wait to take photos of my children when i have them got to keep the memories and legacy going.

Admittedly, I do this all of the time. I say I’ll be on the other side of the camera because I’m self conscious about how I look in photos. The reality is I look just fine .. so I have to remind myself of that every now and again. In fact, some of my favorite photos that we have around the house are those that I’m in, smiling with the people I love

I too do this all the time. Moms are usually the ones taking the photos, especially me because my husband just doesn’t capture the best shots, so I take all the photo most of the time. I need to jump in more. Thank you for the reminder.

I always try to be mindful about this! I grew with my dad taking a ton of pictures of us, so that’s me now. My husband never thinks about taking pics – so I’m always the one who takes them, and ends up NOT in the pictures!

It is so easy to always be the one behind the camera. It seems to be an ongoing issue for sure! Thanks for reminding us that we need to get in the pictures too!

Those are great photos of you and your children. I love the country roads backdrop. I agree that we need to remember to get in the photos ourselves to avoid ending up with photos only of our children.

I had no idea I could do this much through CVS! I am that mom who more times than not completely forgets to get in the pictures herself. I have tons of my kids and Hubby but not so many of us all together or me included in the fun. Great reminder and great time to find out what CVS can offer . . Thanks so much!

I totally agree! And to be 100% honest with you, I am a family photographer and I am 100% guilty of this still. So here is my question to you though. You seriously look like you have a photographer following you around all day every day lol You and your husband are even in the pics together with your children. Who is taking all these photos of you guys? They are all so beautiful and professional. Are you just using your phones with filters or do you carry around a DSLR?
