I frequently am asked what my favorite books for baby & toddler are and figured this would be a great post to put together before our third baby’s arrival! I also asked the mama’s on my Instagram stories which books were there favorites and featured the ones that were talked about the most! We have SO many books in our home and as my husband would say “there is no budget when it comes to books” 😉
Favorite Books for Baby & Toddler
Books to gift a mama
*I will also be creating another post that focuses just on books for mamas to read to prepare for childbirth and motherhood 🙂
Letters to my Baby // We write letters every few months to each of our girls and put them into a keepsake box. For this third baby, I picked this up so that I can store all the letters into one place 🙂
Q&A A Day For Kids // A Three Year Journal // I love the thought of this! Asking your kids questions and writing down their answers all in one place!
Baby 0-1 (& up)
For Toddlers & up
In my Heart: A Book of Feelings // One of my favorites for teaching toddlers about how to handle their feelings!
Last Stop on Market Street // This was recommended by SO many other mamas – I just bought it!
The Kissing Hand // A great book for when kids enter into school
Oh! The Places You’ll go // One of the best Dr. Suess books ever, in my opinion!
What do you do with an idea? // This is one of my favorites. The story line is beautiful and it teaches kids to go after their dreams.
Wherever you are, my love will find you // Makes me cry EVERY time.
The Wonderful Things you will be // A beautiful book about becoming anyone you want to be as you grow up 🙂
Take Heart, My Child: A Mother’s Dream // another one that makes me cry because it’s so beautifully written
The Energy Bus // Such a great, important story line for children! One of my favorites that will be great as the girls grow older!
The Day the Crayons Quit // HILARIOUS and a must have
Don’t Push the Button // This book was recommended by so many people I lost count. We didn’t have it yet so I picked it up!
For Expecting Mamas that already have another child
Snuggle the Baby // Olivia’s favorite book when we were expecting Ellie!
9 Months // Such a beautiful book to read to your babies while your growing one!
