Baby Bump Update // 27-28 weeks

I am combining both the 27-28 week bump update since tomorrow I will be 28 weeks! Officially entering into the third trimester and also the day that we leave for Savannah! We are so excited to have a relaxing vacation with lots of great food πŸ˜‰

This blogger is 27 weeks with baby number three! Come check out her easy maternity style in this floral maxi dress!

What I’m Wearing:

Floral Dress: This is not considered maternity but certainly works perfectly because the waistband is very stretchy and could accommodate any size bump! I am wearing a size small for reference. It’s also great for nursing because it buttons down! Thanks to Alicia for the recommendation! πŸ™‚ It comes in a TON of different patterns/colors and is only $30!!

Sandals: This are my go-to sandals this summer because of how comfortable they are. I love the bohemian feel that they have and they go with everything!

{Ellie has on her moccasins that she wears every day. Very sturdy for a walking toddler and so easy to slip on and off. They’re only $15 here!}

Size: Baby is the size of a head of lettuce. I find that to be pretty funny actually- comparing a baby to a head of lettuce πŸ˜‰ baby is probably nearing the 2 pound mark or in my case, over that since I tend to grow big ones! πŸ™‚

Weight gained: So, this week I am actually down at 145 pounds (down from 147 a week and a half ago). I am NOT trying to lose weight by ANY means. However, I was eating extremely unhealthy and that needs to stop so I have been eating healthy 70% of the time and a lot of what I had was bloat and water weight. It’s amazing what happens when you just eat healthier and make sure to walk a few miles every few days!

Symptoms: Unfortunately my left leg is looking worse and worse by the day. I have new spider veins all up and down my shins and they are KILLING me. They feel like shin splints – which are NEVER fun. But I will tell you something…. I feel incredibly blessed to be working out daily, still running, still kickboxing and not having any restrictions! I also PASSED my glucose test this week and I was able to eat 28 jelly beans rather than that AWFUL orange drink from hell. So that is a WIN in my book!

Favorite wardrobe piece to wear right now: It’s been a bit on the cooler side so I am loving these new linen drawstring pants and this cozy tee that is on sale in multiple colors right now!

Boy or girl?   We didn’t find out! You’ll just have to wait along with us to find out πŸ˜‰

Nursery update….   Not too much progress here! Crib did arrive but likely won’t be put together for a bit!

Pregnancy related Item I have loved this week: Compression stockings – HA. Super exciting right?!

1 thing I am currently having trouble with:   My mood has been very up and down this week. We have had a few issues with some things around the house and I think they got the best of me but I am looking forward to turning things around for our Savannah trip next week! YAY!!!

1 moment I loved about this past week: Being a mother is the coolest thing ever. Ellie was watching Olivia poop this week and totally climbed right up there and pooped after her! How crazy! I never thought it would be possible to train an 18 month old, but apparently it is πŸ˜‰

1 thing I plan to do for myself this week:  I plan to put on a sunless tanner and do my nails at home in prep for our vacation!

Food cravings: Always strawberry shortcake!

Currently working on: We finished up our patio and the girls shared bathroom is now updated as well (stay tuned). Our next home project is getting rid of our awful front steps and putting in some beautiful decking! I can’t wait to have a small little porch to decorate!
